Deputies conducted 42 vehicle stops during the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over (DSOGPO) DWI enforcement push.

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office took part in the DSOGPO enforcement crackdown from August 21st to September 7th, 2020.

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office and NHTSA are part of a national effort to enforce laws related to driving while impaired and reduce the number of impaired drivers on the road.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said countywide enforcement netted 42 vehicle stops, arrests, drugs, apprehension of a fugitive and summonses during the campaign.

"Removing intoxicated drivers from Vernon County roadways is one of our top priorities," Sheriff Mosher said in a statement. "If you choose to drink, don't drive. Drunk drivers not only put themselves in danger, they threaten everyone who shares the road with them."
