Quarter Pound of meth, gun located during early morning raid

According to Officials with the Sheriff's Office, two subjects were taken into custody after Detectives served a search warrant early Saturday morning at a motel room in the 1500 block of E. Austin Blvd in Nevada, MO at the conclusion of an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs. During the search, approximately one quarter of a pound of methamphetamine was located along with a firearm. According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, the illegal narcotics were being brought into Vernon County during this transaction for distribution locally. "This is a substantial amount of methamphetamine that was about to be distributed throughout our county so I'm glad we were able to intercept it before it made it to the streets" said Mosher. The suspects have been identified as 30-year-old Emily Collar, of Nevada, MO and 35-year-old Joshua Stoneking, of Independence, MO. 

On Saturday evening, the Courts issued warrants charging Collar with Trafficking Drugs-2nd Degree, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Keeping or Maintaining a Public Nuisance. Collar is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $100,000 cash only bond. Stoneking was charged with Trafficking Drugs-2nd Degree, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Stoneking is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $250,000 cash only bond.
