According to Vernon County Sheriff's Officials, Deputies were dispatched to the area of 1625 Rd and E. Tally Bend Rd for a report of a theft of walnut logs on Thursday morning. Deputies were advised that the suspect was traveling on 1625 Rd in a tractor hauling the logs. Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher says, "Deputies were able to get to the area and stop the suspect with the logs still on the tractor and take him into custody without incident". The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Daniel Halverson, of Milo. 

On Friday, the Courts issued an arrest warrant charging Halverson with Stealing-$750 or More and 1st Degree Property Damage. Halverson is being held in the Vernon County Jail with a $10,000 cash only bond.
