04/09/2020

On Tuesday morning, Detectives with the Sheriff's Office attempted to make a traffic stop on a motorcycle in Nevada, MO. According to Officials, the suspect, who has been identified as 32 year-old Dustin Pike of Nevada, failed to stop for the Detectives leading to a short pursuit. According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, "the Detectives already knew who the suspect was so the pursuit was terminated for safety reasons". The motorcycle was then located a short time later abandoned under a bridge on Minnie Ball Rd. The motorcycle was determined to have been stolen from Nevada. On Thursday afternoon, the Courts issued an arrest warrant for Dustin Pike and Pike was located and arrested without incident from a residence on the 800 block of South. Main Street in Nevada.

Pike has been charged with Tampering With a Motor Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, and Driving While Suspended. Pike is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond.
