BUZZED DRIVING IS DRUNK DRIVING

Deputies conducted 7 vehicle stops during the Holiday DWI Enforcement push.

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office took part in the Holiday DWI Enforcement Campaign enforcement crackdown from Dec. 13th to January 1st.

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office and NHTSA are part of a national effort to enforce laws related to driving while impaired and reduce the number of impaired drivers on the road.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said countywide enforcement netted several vehicle stops, arrests, summonses, and several MIP's during the campaign.

"Removing intoxicated drivers from Vernon County roadways is one of our top priorities," Sheriff Mosher said in a statement. "If you choose to drink, don't drive. Drunk drivers not only put themselves in danger, they threaten everyone who shares the road with them."
