An arrest has been made after an investigation conducted by detectives with the Vernon County Sheriff's Office Thursday morning.  According to Officials with the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a residence on E 54 Hwy, just east of Dederick, MO involving a report of shots being fired. According to Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher, a structure was hit multiple times during the incident, but no injuries were reported. Investigators served a search warrant at the suspects home Thursday afternoon that resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamines and multiple firearms.    

The suspect, who has been identified as Daniel Sands, 55, of El Dorado Springs MO was arrested during the investigation and charged with Assault, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, Possession of Controlled Substance, two counts of Unlawful Use of Weapon, and Keeping or Maintaining a Public Nuisance. Sands is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $250,000 cash only bond.
