BUZZED DRIVING IS DRUNK DRIVING

Deputies conducted 33 vehicle stops during the 4th of July holiday enforcement push.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office took part in the BUZZED DRIVING IS DRUNK DRIVING enforcement crackdown from July 3rd to July 7th.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office and NHTSA are part of a national effort to enforce laws related to driving while impaired and reduce the number of impaired drivers on the road.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said countywide enforcement netted 33 vehicle stops, arrests, summonses, and one stolen vehicle was recovered during the campaign.

“Removing intoxicated drivers from Vernon County roadways is one of our top priorities,” Sheriff Mosher said in a statement. “If you choose to drink, don’t drive. Drunk drivers not only put themselves in danger, they threaten everyone who shares the road with them.”
